ADVENTSKRANZ – Advent Wreath 2015

7.

Happy Monday Everyone! I can’t believe November is almost over and next Sunday we have the 1st of Advent!!! And officially the Christmas Season starts… Yippiehh… I love this Season, love to decorate the house, i love baking Christmas Cookies with my Kids, love to watch Christmas Movies with my falmily and love to go out and see the beautiful Christmas decoration everywhere…

Todays post is about how i did my Adventskranz. I hope it is a little Inspiration…

What you need:

You need a whitened wreath (geweisster Kranz), dry moss (trockenes Moos), Juniper berries  (Wacholderbeeren), little Stars (kleine Sterne), pinecones (Tannenzapfen) and rustic Candles (rustikale Stumpenkerzen). For gluing the things on the wreath you need a medium size hot glue pistol.

How it works:

Start with the four candles and put them on the wreath. I used some Adventskranz Candleholders and glue them on the wreath. Then put the dry Moss nicely around and glue it. This is your base. Now you can decorate with Pinecones, little Stars, Christmas balls, Juniper Berries, and and and… It is really easy and you don’t need much time. Have fun…

Here are a few more ideas…

Thanks for reading and have a great week!

splurge or save…

Happy Thursday Ihr Lieben!

Happy Thursday Guys! Today I’m sharing a few of my favorite things for this fall/winter season with high-end and budget-friendly options.

  1. Over-the-knee Boots black (splurge) // (save)
  2. Cross Body Bag (splurge) // (save)
  3. Mohair Coat black (splurge) // (save)
  4. Lace Top Burgundy (splurge) // (save)
  5. Destroyed Skinny black (splurge) // (save)
  6. Cat Eye Sunglasses (splurge) // (save)
  7. Poncho grey (splurge) // (save)
  8. Oversize checked Scarf (splurge)  // (save)
  9. Fedora burgundy (splurge) // (save)

Once you find something you fall in love with, it can be fun but challenging to find a similar style at a lower price point, but once you do it’s such a rewarding feeling. Deciding between the original and the affordable options? Not always an easy choice. To splurge or to save …:-)

Thanks for reading,

Rezept – STRAWBERRY CRUMB CAKE

IMG_7

Guten Morgen Ihr Lieben & HAPPY FRIDAY!

Good Morning Everyone & HAPPY FRIDAY! Today i wanted to share one more of my favorite Recipes. A typical german Strawberry Crumb Cake. It is also an old recipe from my Grandma. Everybody loved that cake and you can bake it with Apples, Rasberrys or Strawberrys. In the Summertime i always use the fresh fruits and in the wintertime sometimes frosted Berries. I love this recipe, because it goes very simple and quick and it is always yummie.

Zutaten/ Ingredients

150 g Mehl / Flour

65 g Zucker/ Sugar

65 g Butter/ Butter

1 Ei/ Egg

1/2 Tl Backpulver, Baking Powder

1 Pck. Vanillezucker/ Vanilla Sugar

Fuellung/ Filling:

750g Erdbeeren/ Strawberrys (frosted or fresh)

Streusel/ Crumbs:

200g Mehl/ Flour

150 g Zucker / Sugar

150 g Butter/ Butter

1 Pck. Vanillezucker/ Vanilla Sugar

Zubereitung

Preparation

Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease the bottom and halfway up the sides of a 9 inch springform pan. Mix together the first 6 Ingredients. Put the dough into the pan and bake it for 10min. Remove it from the oven. Pour the strawberrys into the pan. Mix all ingredients for the crumbs together. Put the crumbs on top of the strawberrys. Bake the cake for about 35-45minutes. Turn off the oven. Enjoy the cake warm or cold! It is also really yummie warm with vanilla ice cream.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Steffi
