Stunning Dress for NYE

Good morning, Everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with your Loves and friends… Our Christmas was just perfect, we had wonderful days with the family, delicious food and so much fun with the Kids. They were so excited waiting for Santa Claus and the presents…:-) It is just always sad when Christmas is over, this most magical time of the year…

In todays Post i am sharing a beautiful stunning Dress, which is actually perfect for a NEW YEARS EVE PARTY. This teal lace dress is another exemplary showcase of Self-Portrait’s technical skills. The sheer cap-sleeved, calf-length shape is layered over a solid black bodice and mini-length skirt – a stellar way to play conceal and reveal. For a chic „NYE Party“ result, i just add elegant stilettos and an extravagant glamorous clutch. This one here is silver Swarovski Embroidered.

Statement Skirts…

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you all had a great week so far… Skirts & Dresses are my obsession, a satin number is my ultimate weakness, especially for the Holidays! Love the way satin catches the light, sparkles and shines! This Skirt i am wearing is one of the treasures i fell in love with from the BALMAIN H&M Collection. I can’t decide what i love most about this skirt, the fabric, the beautiful design or the color?? I think it is the perfect mix of everything… I love to pair it with a simple black sweater, elegant boots and a cute clutch! Finishing touch? A few layered rings, red lips and shiny hair… And voila! A perfect Holiday Look!

Putting on the glitz…

Good Morning Everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend… Saturday i went out with some really good friends and had the perfect evening. After a great Christmas Dinner we decided to go to a nice Bar/Club in Hamburg for some drinks and dancing…:-) We went to a very hip Club with many beautiful, young people… When i looked at the Girls i saw many of them wearing some really cute sequin jackets. I realized it is a major secret weapon. Because no other item of clothing strikes the balance between festive and cool with such ease. I would pair it with a vintage concert tee and distressed denim…

Here are a few Sequin Jackets i found and love! And i am sure i will definitely add one of them to my warderobe really soon..:-)

  1. Squein Jacket capri blush (similar here)

dash of color…

Happy weekend, Everyone! Did you had a good week? Most of my last posts about fashion were about some beautiful dresses and yes i am a bit of obsessed for them, but the wintertime is also about nice Layers, cozy Sweaters and Coats… The sweater I am wearing in today’s post is one of the treasures I found on a recent trip to the Alsterhaus. Technically speaking, I came in to do some early Christmas shopping because they always have the cutest printed scarfs, best beauty products and a great collection of clothes. And as usual, i couldn’t resist and picked up a few things for myself too..:-)

The full skirt i am wearing is one of my absolutly favorites and if you read my blog regularly, then you might remember that i wore him before in the summer time… I just love this skirt, it is always a great statement piece for an elegant outfit.

Gingerbread Cookies

HAPPY NIKOLAUS Everyone!! I hope you all have a great weekend and a wonderful Nikolaus Day today…:-) Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year and also the busiest time of the year. I am always trying to find simple things to make life easier since everything is so crazy during Christmas.

My almost 3 year old daughter loves to bake and ask me every day if i could bake something with her. In the wintertime everybody loves cookies, so i have almost no excuse to say no to her…:-) Last year i found this easy Gingerbread Cookie Recipe… Aren’t they cute?! They are very simple & quick to prepare and everybody loves them.

2 cups (240g) all-purpose flour, plus more for rolling
2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, room temperature
1/3 cup (75g) packed dark-brown sugar
1/3 cup (4 oz) unsulfured molasses
1 large egg

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, spices, baking soda, and salt; set aside. With an electric mixer, beat butter and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in molasses and egg. With mixer on low, add dry ingredients; mix just until a dough forms. Place dough on floured plastic wrap. Wrap well; chill until firm, 1 to 2 hours.
Preheat oven to 175 degrees Celsius. Divide dough in half. Working with one half at a time (rewrap and refrigerate other half), place dough on floured paper; roll out and cut out shapes. Transfer to baking sheets.
Bake until firm and edges just begin to darken, 10 to 18 minutes, depending on size. Cool completely on baking sheets.
